"Superman (Retired)"
a poem by G.E. Nordell

born into a hostile world
with magical powers
and no one to talk to
about my secret life

am I an early Indigo Child?
is everybody else also driven
to solve an Unsolvable Question?

I am the only Me
among billions of fellow singularities

Superman is old and tired
somebody else's turn
to leap tall buildings
— but I still look good in tights!
