Mark Twain {the pen name of Samuel Langhorne Clemens} was an American humorist, satirist, writer & lecturer.
He is most noted for his novels "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" [1876] & "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" [1885],
but also for his other fiction, travel writings, and his numerous pithy quotes & sayings.

“In wine there is wisdom, in beer there is freedom, in water there is bacteria.”

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things [that] you didn't do
than by the ones [that] you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour.
Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

"The lack of money is the root of all evil."

— Mark Twain
