"The Lost Continent" {aka 'Beyond Thirty'} [1916]
Originally published in All-Around Magazine in February 1916, and then forgotten until Bradford Day published a limited edition in 1957; Ace published a paperback version in 1963, with several later printings. The story takes place in the year 2137, when the world has long been divided into the isolationist Pan-American Federation and the unknown lands of Europe and Asia. Navy Lt. Jefferson Turck is cast adrift in the east Atlantic and defies Navy policy by heading for the British Isles, where there be tigers & lions, and savage tribes and romance with the Queen of 'Grabritin'.
