Apple presented three new smartphone models at its annual fall product event on 12 September 2018 in Cupertino, California. The new iPhone XS {5.8" screen, list price $999} and XS Max {6½" display, list price $1,099-1,449} and XR {6.1" display, less expensive screen, list price $749} will be in U.S. stores on September 21. The new models of the iPhone mean that list prices drop on older models: the iPhone 7 will now start at $449 and the iPhone 8 at $599.

Announced 5 June 2017: Apple’s smart speaker HomePod will cost $349 and will start shipping in December; the new Mac operating system is called High Sierra;
